PTO
Welcome to a new year and (almost) a new semester! The BCS PTO has a lot of fun activities and volunteer opportunities this semester, and we would love for you to be involved! If you are a parent or guardian of a BCS student, you are automatically a member of the BCS PTO, meetings and activities are open to all!
Mission Statement:
The Bethany PTO exists to facilitate communication between families and the school through community events, fundraisers and teacher/staff appreciation and support.
The PTO is not possible without the generous contribution of time and resources from our wonderful community of families. Parent involvement makes all the difference in our school. We recognize there are many commitments in our lives that demand time and energy and we’d like to thank you in advance for considering making volunteering for a few PTO initiatives one of them.
Listed below are some of the programs and activities scheduled for the coming year. We will provide communication for these as well as others as they get closer.

- Kickoff - August, start of the school year
- Music on the Lawn - September 15 (volunteers needed)
- Bruin Bistro - One morning in fall, spring and winter

Or look for us at upcoming events!
- All Semester-sign up to provide grab and go snacks for the Teacher's Lounge.
- Thursday, January 16, 6-8pm: Roller Skating Party at Jarissa's Fun Zone 14583 SR 120, Bristol. All BCS students and families are invited. $3 entry fee, concessions, arcade and laser tag at additional cost.
- Tuesday, January 21, 7pm: PTO planning meeting in the Media Center. PTO meetings generally occur on the third Tuesday of month and are a great opportunity to meet other BCS parents and guardians and get involved with PTO.
- Tuesday, March 18, 6-9pm: Culver's Dine to Donate: Rather than a PTO meeting in March, eat dinner at the Goshen Culver's on Lincolnway East between 6pm and 9pm and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to BCS PTO. If your student is involved in the concert that night, come after for a treat! We need a few volunteers for this event; contact Sarah Gingerich if interested.
- Tuesday, April 18, 7pm: PTO planning meeting in the Media Center. This meeting will focus on planning Teacher Appreciation Week.
- Week of May 5-9: Teacher Appreciation Week: this is a very fun week for PTO and we need a lot of volunteers. Look for more information later this spring!
- Friday, May 9, 7:45 to 9am: Bruin Bistro: Drop off your students for school, then stop by the tables in the lower school and high school drop-off line to get a cup of Electric Brew coffee and a delicious donut for a donation to BCS PTO.
