Costumes
Lower school students may wear costumes to school on Thursday, Oct. 31. Please follow these guidelines:
- Make sure that your child is able to get in and out of their costume easily when using the restroom
- Masks, weapons, swords, or any other props are NOT ALLOWED.
- Costumes should not show any blood, gore, or be scary to any student
- Costumes must be school appropriate (follow dress code, and is an age-appropriate character)
- If you choose to wear a costume you must bring a complete change of clothes in case the costume becomes too hot or distracting to continue wearing all day.
Fish Fry
The fall fish fry is this Friday, Nov. 1, 4:30-8pm. More information and tickets available online
PTO meal sign-up
PTO will provide lunch and afternoon snacks for teachers and staff during P/T conferences on Monday, November 4. If you are able to contribute food, supplies or time, please sign-up! Thanks for helping feed our teachers!
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent-teacher conferences are next Monday (10 a.m. to 8 p.m.) and Tuesday (4-6 p.m.) If you haven’t requested a conference and would like to do so, contact Kevin Miller ([email protected]). Monday will be an asynchronous eLearning Day for all students. School work be posted or sent home with students to work on. Tuesday will be a normal school day.
Exchange Student HostingBethany Christian is looking for a host family for an exchange student that we will have from Colegio Alemán Concordia, in Asunción, Paraguay, during the second semester of the 2024-2025 school year. The student's name is Fiorella Llano Benitez, and she is in the ninth grade. The stipend for the host family is $3500 for the whole semester, and the requirements and expectations are the same expectations we ask families who participate in the exchange program with Colegio Alemán Concordia. Monique Burr Foundation Curriculum
This year, in partnership with CAPS-Elkhart, our school counselor, Krysten Parson, is introducing the Monique Burr Foundation Curriculum to students in grades K-12. This curriculum, which began this week, is designed to educate and empower students with important strategies to prevent bullying, cyberbullying, child abuse, digital abuse, and other online dangers. The attached PDFs provide more details about what your child is learning over the next few weeks. These resources will help you understand how we're working to keep your child safe and informed.

Chess Club
Chess Club will meet after school today for the final open play club. However, students planning on competing on Bethany Chess teams in the spring may continue to attend Chess Club each Tuesday.
