Homecoming 2024 and Class Reunions
Welcome to Homecoming! Bethany is opening the doors to a bright future, and we are glad you can be a part of it!
We are excited to have you back on campus as we celebrate reunion years for classes ending in 4 and 9. During this year’s Homecoming, alumni are invited to be a part of the opening of the new lower school addition with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Be sure to come and see a tour of the new space!
Homecoming weekend will be filled with activities for alumni and their families. This year's schedule includes an alumni chapel, plenty of sports action, and a Saturday ‘food truck’ lunch in the amphitheater with entertainment by the Dangling Participles Duo (Austin Kaufmann ’94). Bring your family for children's activities and wear your spirit gear as you support the Bruins’ volleyball and soccer teams. All alumni, please register for free entry into all athletic events. A homecoming name tag will be your entry ticket.
Our Heritage alumni will have a noon meal in the cafeteria catered by Das Dutchman Essenhaus. This meal is for reunion classes celebrating 51-plus years.

Reunion welcome table in Hickory Commons - new lower school entrance
Childcare drop off at welcome table. Childcare is for children of alumni attending reunion gatherings. (fee and registration required)
Heritage Lunch in the cafeteria, catered by Das Dutchman Essenhaus ($20/person and registration required - and notify if there are dietary concerns) - Registration for the lunch closed on September 1. Please call Bethany if you have any questions.
Food trucks are located in Lower School Drive - payment is by cash or credit card (current food trucks: Franky's Tacos, Pinyo’s Kitchen, Sweazy Q’s BBQ, and Sweet Eliza’s)
Bruin Volleyball Invitational and Bruin Soccer Classic - Alumni please register for free family entrances to all athletic events
The Bruin Boys 2023 IHSAA 1A State Soccer Championship team ceremony - all almuni soccer players are invited to the field to celebrate their success with a team photo.
Alumni in milestone years ending in 4 and 9 are recommended to register. Online registration is open from August 14 through September 10, 2024

Children's activities sponsored by Bethany’s PTO - location in the lower school playground. Crafts and playground equipment available. Parent supervision is required for children participating.
A photographer is available for group photos, contact the welcome table to set up a photo time

Alumni Chapel Speaker: Lynelle Yoder Hofer is a 2009 graduate of Bethany and is thrilled to be returning as the first Kindergarten teacher! After graduation she went to Goshen College and completed degrees in Elementary Education with minors in Spanish and TESOL. This is her 12th year teaching and the 7th year teaching Kindergarten.
Entertainment: The Dangling Participles duo of Austin Kaufmann and Tamiko Rothhorn will perform in the outdoor amphitheater on Saturday from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. They will be joined by special guest Anara Pearl. Austin is a 1994 graduate of Bethany. Find out more about their group at

State Championship Ceremony: The Bruin Boys 2023 State Soccer Championship team will have a ceremony at the half time of the Bruin Girls Classic final soccer match on Saturday at 6:00 pm. Alumni soccer players will join the championship team for a photo on the field after the ceremony.
