Boys Basketball

Coach's Recap

The 2024-25 Boys Basketball season was one of growth, losing 9 seniors and returning only 3 letterwinners. While players adjusted, the team found ways to make other teams adjust to our style of play. Pushing the pace of the game with defensive pressure and fast outlet passing. Partway through the season while our 2 seniors struggled with foot injuries the team had to adapt and overcome. While the sectional result wasn’t what was hoped for, the overtime win in the first round and the overtime loss in the second round showcased the team's fighting spirit and resolve. We will miss the two seniors who contributed massively to the double digit win season this year; we return other major contributors as we head into next year. This season's 11-14 record marks the 5th consecutive year with double digit wins and 3rd consecutive year with at least a share of conference championship.

Coach's Recap

Our basketball season was a journey of growth, resilience, and teamwork. While our record of 5-17 didn’t reflect our full potential, we improved with every game and stayed competitive in many close matches. Our five victories highlighted our progress, but even in losses, we supported each other and played with heart. Beyond the scoreboard, we built strong friendships, encouraged one another, and created lasting memories—whether it was celebrating small victories, pushing each other in practice, or sharing laughs on the bus rides. The positive team atmosphere kept us motivated and made the season rewarding. With the lessons we’ve learned and the bonds we’ve formed, we’re excited to come back stronger next year!

Coach's Recap

The middle school girls’ basketball teams had tremendous seasons, showing remarkable improvement throughout the course of the season. The focus was on getting the players to enjoy competing at a high level, and they embraced that mindset from day one. This group was able to achieve that fine line of playing the game with incredible intensity, while having a blast doing it. The hard work paid off, as we had several exciting come from behind wins to close out the season. If this group of 8th graders continues to play, I can not wait to see what they can accomplish.

Coach's Recap

The middle school boys' basketball teams embraced a growth mindset, striving to improve a little bit each day. The team worked to always keep the big goal of being a great high school team in mind while developing individual skills and team-centered play. A few highlights would be a hot 2-0 start to the season and a thrilling multi-overtime game in the HPC tournament to end the year. The coaches are very excited to see what the 8th-grade class can do in the high school program next year and are also excited to coach another hard-working group of middle schoolers next winter.
