Layton Rothshank as he won two Gold Keys and a Silver Key in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for his intricate jewelry pieces and handcrafted knife. These awards represent the highest honors in a competition that received 3,860 submissions from 2,783 high school students across Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan. His work, judged for its creativity and craftsmanship, will be on public display at the South Bend Museum of Art from February 8 through April 13, offering an opportunity to witness the extraordinary talent recognized in this prestigious national program.
The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are presented by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, which is a nonprofit organization identifying and showcasing teens with exceptional artistic and literary talent. Starting in 1923, it is the nation’s longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens.
