Bethany Christian competed in twin tournaments in Dunlap today with Northeast District Congress and Concord February Speech Tournament in the same location.
In the Congress tournament, senior Nico Brenneman-Ochoa placed first in the House and qualified for the national tournament in June. Senior Ian McHugh placed sixth in Senate and was named President of the Senate as best presiding officer in that chamber. Sophomore Eviella Sefu advanced to the final House chamber.
On the speech side, junior Sofia Johar nabbed third in a competitive prose interpretation field.
