The Sixth graders have added 250 new pets to their classrooms - worms! As a part of our Farm to School program, they have started worm composting, or vermiculture. After an initial escape attempt on the part of the worms, they have their habitat adjusted and they are thriving. The worms are just the newest addition to our many of the 6th grade Farm to school projects which include growing microgreens and herbs, using hydroponics to grow arugula, and continued care of our school chickens.
