7th graders used the game "Settlers of Catan" to study the geography and settlement patterns of Ancient China. After studying the geography of China, they built a game board to match the mountains, plains and resources of China. In playing the Catan game on these homemade boards, they are learning about the areas that the ancient Chinese settled in and the resources that were available in those regions.
