On August 10th, 2021, the class of 2031 arrived at Bethany this week as the first 3rd grade class in Bethany history. It was impossible not to be swept up by their positive energy and enthusiasm! This week they worked with industrious care as they experienced the rich imaginative content of indigenous creation stories.
“This year, I will bring many hands-on learning opportunities and projects,” stated Ms. Fast. “I’m striving to bring a learning environment that sparks curiosity and engages learning. We have a wonderful group of 3rd graders, and I am confident that this is going to be a great year!”
Starting this 3rd grade is the first step in moving forward with Bethany’s overall strategic plan to be an independent school for students kindergarten through 12. Bethany’s lower school, 3rd - 5th grade, strongly emphasizes hands-on learning with a focus on the fine arts, outdoor education, field trips, and a lively learning environment that make the experience unique.
