May 6 and 7
The play is about life in middle school—the things you say and do (or choose not to say or do) and the ways you fit in (or don’t really fit in). The audience will laugh and groan as they watch the hopes and nightmares of a bunch of kids getting ready for an all-school lock-in.
The play is written and directed by Evie Nafziger. She says, "This script came out of life with my own kids. So many times I feel as if they are living in a parallel universe: we experience the same events, but interpret them differently. Part of this is talking to them without knowing if they hear or understand my words. And all the while, I am hearing my own parents’ voices echoing in my mind—and occasionally coming out of my mouth."
Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for students. Ticket sales will begin Apr. 18 and may be reserved in the school office (534-2567). Performance times are 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, May 6 and 7, 2011.
